diptych: unappetizing breakfasts for a Monday morning

1. Only because I hate pancakes. Not because it's a silly bunny shape.
2. Studying dermatological pathology at a coffee shop early in the morning.

infp

(Suzy, consider this photo a nod to this post! hahaha)

The Myers Briggs personality test says I'm an INFP psychological type. That stands for introverted, intuitive, feeling and perceptive. These all sound like lovely glamorous things but I think every type is a positive deal. Which is apparently part of being an INFP...we think everyone's point of view is valid.

A few other things it said about me that I totally agree with are:

-quiet and reserved
-not many friends
-physically lose energy around too many people (This is so true! I never realized it was a thing.)
-give weight to social implications over logic
-more abstract than concrete
-enjoys metaphors and similes
-withholds judgement
-delays important decisions to keep options open
-difficult to get to know
-delights in the unusual
-avoids conflict
-forms judgement based on intangible criteria
-requires substantial time alone
-have trouble finishing a project because it can't meet their high standards

And best of all, this description of the 'intuition' section:

What the observer usually sees is creativity with implied good will. Intuition spawns this type's philosophical bent and strengthens pattern perception. It combines as auxiliary with introverted Feeling and gives rise to unusual skill in both character development and fluency with language--a sound basis for the development of literary facility. If INTPs aspire to word mechanics, INFPs would be verbal artists.

Sometimes I just think I'm a crazy weird bad-at-socializing person, until I come across things like this and realize there are probably a billion other introverted, metaphor loving non-project finishers out there.

To take the Myers Briggs test on yourself, you can click here here and here, they are three tests that gave me the same result. It's supposedly around 75% accurate. Come back and let me know if your results are what you expected.

diptych: my bathroom friends

Not sure why that second photo uploaded with lines all over it but I'mma just blame blogger for that. I picked these little luchadors up in an open-air market in Puebla, Mexico a few years ago. They're hand painted and cost me like a dollar for ten of them. They all hang out at the mirror over the sink in "my" bathroom. It's mine because a) it's purple and I chose that color, and b) the litter box is in there and somehow we decided that the cat is mine only and so is her stink. Fine by me, 'cause hey, I get my own bathroom.
