!
You guys! I got a new camera!
Wait wait wait, let me start at the beginning. You see, my dad and step-mom totally rule. They completely organized a huge party for my grandma's 75th birthday, paid for my flights there and back, had me in their home for a week, took me out to a bunch of cool places (and paid for it all) AND bought me a sweet new camera for a graduation present! I had such an awesome week.
I took a bunch of photos and stuff, but I only have like five minutes of spare time this morning so I'm just going to throw a bunch up here in no particular order. Some are from the zoo (even the robot dinosaur one), some are from my grandma's birthday party. Most are just random stuff from the week.
So obviously these were taken with my old camera, the Fujifilm finepix pink dude.
It's a cute little thing. Works okay. Very portable and convenient.
I thought I was fine with it until I got this baby home:
SO AWESOME. Seriously. It does everything. Except take movies in HD which I don't care about anyway. Oh, and it doesn't have a built in projector like this other camera the guy showed us in the store. I was like "What on earth would I use that for?"
I am in total camera heaven. I've been taking pictures of...nothing. Tons of them. It doesn't matter what the subject matter is, everything looks amazing. Can't wait 'till I have something interesting to shoot!
Oops, I'm out of time. Be prepared for more raving and photos in the near future, I'm sure.
I own a camera. I never use it. This post is convincing me that my camera aversion should be rectified.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Thai beer? Yay or nay?
You should just keep it with you all the time so you're ready when that one shot appears. Or take photos when you're bored.
ReplyDeleteIt was actually pretty good. (the beer) Not spectacular or anything, but good.
